Hey all,

I am in Maryland now, a month after selling the city house. Paid off the loan
on my land and working on getting a used mobile on the property soon.
Government officials are slow in issuing permits no matter where you are :>).
I have the perc, but the health department wants the lot mowed off before he
will lay out the plan for the septic.

Met with some local dealers and set them looking for a used mobile. I want
something that is insulated and doesn't leak. A double wide would be good. I
have not found one listed in local papers, other than ones that are on land
and not mobile, so figured the local dealers were the way to go.

Anyone have information or advice on putting a wood stove in a mobile? I'll
build an addition to hold a stove later, but might like to add on this year.

I'm staying with relatives now, and commuting to the property in Virginia
when I need to be there, gas is killing me. This is a big change for me
climatically. I was in the wood lot last week looking at trees, and realized
that I need some help in identifying them. I know the Oaks, Maples, etc, but
suspect that a lot of the woods are the not so desirable species left after
logging (previous owner logged it). Anyone know of a good field reference
that would help identify trees in the mid-atlantic area?

This is a big change from Florida. Ask me in December and I'm sure that it
will be a bigger change.

Take care,

Rob of FL in MD soon to be in VA

Yep. For now. However, should the "Super Volcano" blow, I don't think it
will matter very much where I choose to live, anywhere in the west or
midwest.
