Some compensation in some huge springs, four creeks and our private lake forty feet above the valley floor---don't know any Uuf da that can stand water-free hot deserts.

How did your lake dam handle that flood? I am gathering info on how to build a dam that will withstand the reason my stream is called Hurricane Creek.

Lots of water here in Phoenix desert. And I have the water bills to prove it.

tvoivozhd---no damage with water boiling a foot or more high across a grass-covered earthen dam. I credit my cattail bed as being partially responsible. Did you ever copy my old post on how to build a dam from scratch (key the ends), with a small silt-catchment dam above it? Think that is the best advice I can come up with. If you kept it, repost it, doubt if I have it, and couldn't find it if I did---the tight organization that ruled most of my life has dissolved into chaos.
