Hi Fran and all,

Better late than never :-)

Pencil is hard to read from 5' away (while standing up). The black markers or paint pens are much easier to see at a distance. The problem is when you come out in the early spring to find they have faded. That's when you pull the marker out of the ground and look on the back at the pencil!

Happy Thanksgiving all,
Melanie Vassallo

A question:

#2: If the pencil never comes off, why use a paint pen also?

Fran

#2, Old mini blinds are great to keep records on but ugly to look at. I keep a bucket full of cut up blinds for when I'm in a pinch. Write on them with paint pen on the front but always back it up with pencil on the back. The pencil will never fade, never, never, never.
