I recently saw an article in one of the Long Island publications featuring Melanie Vasallo and her garden note taking. Nice work, Melanie!

I've concluded that I need to change the way I do this.  Between raking and winter, the number of tags I have lost is countless (not including the plants I've killed!).  I'm just finishing up a drafting class at the NYBG which is giving me the skill to transfer the info on garden plantings to actual scale drawings.  Of course, that task will take me the entire winter and then some, but I think it will be a better system.  Then I can get rid of those little "mouse tombstones" scattered all over the place!

I'd be interested in how the rest of you manage to keep track of what you've got planted and how those plants have been performing in your gardens and/or containers?

Thanks and regards,
Lorraine
