Jeff,
I find Plantskydd unpleasant to apply but seems more effective than other repellents... so far nothing sprayed has been eaten. They says it's good for 6 months if it has 24 hours to dry after application.
I am very interested in your Electric Deer Fence...how many deer come hithers per linear foot??
Battery operated?  Do you keep them around the flower beds??? Tell me more!
Jacqui

Sally,

I don't know about deer, but I am a world expert on Moose....we use two
items...the first is Plantskydd....very good repellent..essentially
bloodmeal so it is a low nitrogen microbe food/fertilizer.

The other item is called "Electric Deer Fence"....this is a neat little
gadget that holds an ATTRACTANT to lure the deer to it.  When they smell the
thing, they get a small battery induced shock on the nose.  I haven't seen a
moose eat anything in my yard in two years because of them!  If you have
trouble finding them, let me know...

Cheers,

jeff l
