Has anyone had experience with Deerbusters' Systemic Pellets? According to
promotional materials the pellets are absorbed into the roots, stems and
leaves of plants and give them a deeply bitter taste which repels deer and
lasts for three years.
Or know what the main ingredients are?

The reason for my interest: Deer which in previous years raced through only
one end of garden on their way to somewhere else seem to have taken the
advice "slow down and smell the roses" and now take leisurely browsing tours
through the entire garden. There is no power or water on the sloping site and
I'm there only on weekends in the daytime. I'm hoping for an easier and
cheaper solution than a fence or motion detecting sprinklers, but also a safe
one.
