just to add...for those who want to keep rabbits out and use fencing there is a special type of fence for this...called rabbit fence.  It's a wire fence that I think comes in heights of 3' and up where the wire weave is tighter on the bottom and wider at the top.  Deer fencing such as Centoflex and C-Flex would 'appear' to work but as we've been taught by our deer expert and then seen with our own eyes...the rabbits will simply chew through the plastic or composite and make their way through.  This small hole then becomes the way larger animals like deer make headway...and the hole becomes larger.  Melanie...just be thankful you don't have woodchucks...but they are on the Island and there may be one in a garden near you....soon.
