Thanks for your reply, but I always thought that "the first day of the week" in Mark 16:2 was what we call Sunday. As I understood it Jesus died on "the day before the sabbath" Mark 14:42 and rose early "when the sabbath was past" Mark 16:1. How did you arive at Monday to the "first day of the week"? Was not Saturday the sabbath?
