I don't remember if 0.82 support ntlm2 but updated version surely
does. Get update patch at freetds.sf.net (official patched 0.82 or
update 0.82 with the post 0.82 patch).

You have to use domain\user syntax in tsql, something like

tsql -S myserver -U 'domain\username'
