Sorry, no change with current CVS .... aaah, CVS is hosted on SF, so
I'd better have another try tomorrow when the changes made in into the
public CVS area.

I didn't change CVS, Martin. I only observed the docs suggest we're
making a mistake. You'd have to s/.la/.lo/g yourself in the
Makefile.am. Sorry that wasn't clear.

I didn't change it because I'm not sure it's the right fix. I'm hoping
you'll tell me.

You didn't have to. I understand FreeBSD is a fine, somewhat
nonportable version of NetBSD. ;-)
