if i figured out right, you suggest an alternative way of an odbc connection
to the MS driver manager ?
sorry, but if thats right, i disagree with you.
you have to think about the users' simplicity.
the easiest (and standard) way the user can use an odbc driver is thru the
driver manager. lets adapt ourselves to this
common method, without inventing a new complicated method
