Tom,

Would you know what ct-lib functionality is missing in FreeTDS's
implementation that supports these PHP functions? Nick's done a lot of work
lately on our message handling; maybe we're only a short hack away from
eliminating your "gotcha".

Thanks for mentioning it in any case. If we can't fix it, it should be
documented.
