Debian stable uses libtool 1.3.3, testing uses libtool 1.3.5, and
unstable is on 1.4.2. I tend to work on FreeTDS using my stable system,
so I imagine the effect might be significant. I'm against this option.

I have no current trouble with this option. I don't think it is the
best long term; it will cause me pain when I upgrade.

I'm in favour of this option.
