Status report:
(1) The same error occurs with freetds 0.50.
(2) The error occurs in TDS5.0 mode but not TDS4.2 mode.
(3) The error is reported by the server
(4) The error occurs at the end of the first query, not the
beginning of the second query.
I think that #3 indicates a server-side problem. Is jdbc.sybase.com
a real database or some type of gateway? However, #4 indicates there
is a client-side problem either in sqsh or freetds b/c the error is not
getting reported where it should be. I'll look into that further.
