Brian,

No such luck on this. The server uses server login in this case. They have
a completely different form from our domain logins. I am going out on a
limb here, but I am at least reasonably certain that I did enter my login
information correctly in the PWD file. I'll be sure to confirm that anyway.
Any other ideas?

Ok, so we are talking to the SQL Server, but receiving a
negative
acknowlegement. One probable cause it that the sql server
is using domain
login and not server logins. The other (but not probable)
couase would be
the login/password is wrong :-)
