The unknown marker is basically this...the read() returns 0 when the
connection is closed however the lib doesn't realize it until the next
time it tries to read from the socket at which point the calling function
(ie dbnextrow()) should return a FAIL. However, I'm not sure all functions
are correctly propagating the error upstream. I need to dig back into it
again, as I thought I had something working (are you using .50 or CVS?)
