Thanks very much for your time - I wish I
was doing more than just consuming this product!

Maybe my humble Linux PERL script might be useful...
simple enterprise monitor for listening
to mssql servers etc and mts via http.
Sybase will allow me to make the script trace
replication data and report on rep. chains as well,
fingers crossed.

I expect this has been done a zillion times
already, but I've enjoyed coding it. I'll
ask my boss if I can 'free' it, should anyone
be interested.

You should probably try to build the Sybase::DBlib portion of sybperl
instead. That will probably work fine.

It seems that the Client Library side of Freetds isn't quite ready
yet.

When I try to build DBD::Sybase I get a lot of missing or undefined
symbols. These can probably be added pretty easily, and I'll see if I
can do that tomorrow, but I don't know if it will link, as several
libraries are missing...
