I think I've fixed the test -n problem, but I don't have access to
Solaris so I can't make sure. Would someone try it with Solaris?

BTW- You don't need to run autoconf yourself anymore. (Actually there
was only a one or two day period when it was necessary.) If you do
want to run it you can get autoconf from

ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.13.tar.gz

If you run autoconf you will probably also want to run automake. You
may get automake from

ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/automake/automake-1.4.tar.gz
