For the same reason that he did not ride a white donkey or write with his
left hand or eat fish on friday... Yes, these are all things which we have,
and can have, no idea about. Asking why Paul DID do this or that; thats
reasonable. Asking why he didn't is a dead end that ends on the cul-de-sac
of wild speculation. And there's more than enough speculation to go around
in biblical studies.
