There certainly does seem to be a difference between Colossians/Ephesians
and Romans - but is it that different from the reading of Romans 8:30? -
"those he called, he justified, and those he justified he glorified." While
Paul warns us just a paragraph earlier (8:24) not to get carried away with
anticipation - he then goes and gets totally carried away himself.
Does Romans 8:30 qualify as realized eschatology? Is it the source for some
of the extended imagery of the deutero-Pauline letters - extension of the
image of being 'in Christ' to being in the heavenly places with Christ.
