I've been in the music retail business for going on fifteen years and
we've always sold ukes on a regular basis. Three or four a month. Most
of the time it's the cheap fifty dollar ones but now and then we sell
the nicer ones. Regardless of price, a good uke just needs to stay in
tune. Isn't the appeal obvious? They weigh a couple of ounces and you
can stow them in your messenger bag. If you want to hear a uke master
then look up Roy Smeck. That guy was nuts.
