OK, I *know* this group has some recommendations for me. We have tried
the Blue Nile and Thai Cafe, now we're looking for recommendations for
other good ethnic restaurants: Ethiopian, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. Not
really looking for recommendations for, say, Chinese or Mexican
(although if someone knows of some incredible unknown place I'd be
interested to hear it).

Ross Grady, this means you. I know you know your way around an RTP
restaurant or two.

Two words: Burrito Bunker

Are you serious? One of the most disgusting meals I've had in Chapel Hill was at that place. I probably won't, but assuming I just got the wrong thing (beef burrito) and I ever decided to go back, what would I get there that isn't disgusting?

OK. You don't want mex. Try Panang, Lime and Basil, and Ming Garden.

I like Lime and Basil. A lot actually. Good quality to price ratio. I tried Panang a couple of times when it first opened, and consistenly felt like I was paying $17 entree prices for $8 entree quality. I never had anything particularly awful, but never had anything particularly great, either, which at those prices, is just downright disappointing. Their location in NYC was amazing 8 years ago, so I was kind of excited when they opened here.

I had a good recent experience at Talulahs'. A very good lamb kebab. They are pricy, for me anyway, so I won't be going there often, but I did enjoy it.

That african/ethiopian place in downtown durham is decent and cheap, from what I can remember from going there about a year ago.
