i've been witth BMI for about the same amount of time. i have friends
who have been with both BMI and ASCAP and they can't really tell the
difference. don't know much about SESAC.

i've also been with Bug Music for the same amount of time. they handle
mostly mechanical royalties while BMI/ASCAP deal mostly with
performance royalties. if your music is still selling, and not just
getting airplay, then joining up with someone like Bug or the Harry Fox
Agency will help to ensure that you get your money. well, most of it
anyway.

there's also soundexchange.com that collects money from online plays as
well as satellite and smaller non-commercial stations....places some of
the larger agencies overlook.
