There was also a comp out in the early 90s by the same title
(Manchester: So Much to Answer For). I think it focused on a lot of
that dancey-housey stuff that I had little use for (Happy Mondays of
course, but probably also Inspiral Carpets, Charlatans UK, etc.), as
Manchester was going through it's whole "Madchester" phase around the
same time.

And that's the part of 24 Hr. Party People that I didn't get. Mainly
because I still don't get what the attraction was to Happy Mondays.
