Go figure: Fox News supplied the video feed for the first debate:

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=entertainmentNews&storyID=6394417

"Under a rotation system established by the major networks for covering political events, Fox News Channel operated the "pool" cameras that supplied the broadcast feed for all the networks on Thursday."

I personally thought Kerry's sallow greenness was slightly less appetizing than Bush's clenched-teeth orangeness, but they were both kinda creepy.

Guess we know it *won't* be Fox handling the video for the veep debate tomorrow -- can't wait to see Cheney & Edwards side-by-side on the [apparently technically verboten] split-screen.

I noticed the color thing first off -
surfed like 7 different stations - all had the same tint
if it was all of a single feed - could have been color balance issues - or could have been the actually lighting -
could have Bush's spray on tan...

Heh. We watched it on C-SPAN, which did the split-screen thing nearly 100% of the time.

I loved it, really.

[Bush] also appeared to be more normally flesh-colored, whereas Kerry
was a slightly ghoulish greenish color.

Judging from the color of the podums beneath them, I'd say the white
balance was off on Kerry's camera. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who
noticed this.

It made Bush look... well... orange.
