A corrected edition of this draft is now at
http://www.jonathanmitchell.info/uploads/CC-EW_5_1[2].pdf . I think further
that 'and' at the end of the HOWEVER' first clause should probably be 'or';
in 2.4, 'rights that the User may have ' should be 'rights that You may
have'; in 4.1 delete 'and /or any liability that You may incur to a third
party resulting from a breach of the LicensorĀ¹s warranty in Clause 3.1
above' (this was left over from earlier draft which gave such a warranty):
but I have not made these corrections in the pdf.
Could it be confirmed that on the anticipated 'final confirmation' by
everyone in England/US on Wednesday this won't be described as 'the' UK
draft on the CC website or put forward for use outside England and Wales?
Hopefully a new Scottish project will be getting off the ground pretty soon
(Christiane Asschenfeldt at CC writes "thank you very much for your offer to
help and we will gladly accept it. We do not have a Scottish project yet.
Would you prefer one license or different licenses?") and with all the
excellent work that has been done so far we should be able to have an
edition for this jurisdiction not much later than the English edition. There
should indeed continue to be liaison between the English and Scottish
projects.
The Northern Irish will just have to be advised to continue using the
international edition I'm afraid!
