<a> elements are useful as humans can see and click on them. This includes authors, who are often surprised when you tell them what is in their <meta> and <link>


I know; I'm not removing the <a> elements. Just checking that it's valid for <link>. I'll add the rel attribute to any element containing an href to the license, since such things (elements that rel is a valid attribute for) don't have child elements, so there's no inheritance happening.
