I second that.

GPL requires the *source material* to be made available along with the
work. Most digitally graphical art are created by means of multiple
layers of fonts, paths, bitmaps, masks and versioning. These layers,
etc. may be several orders of magnitude larger than the finished
artwork. Making those assets publicly available may be a burden for
the artist, and not always feasible. For instance, some of these
components (fonts. masks, clip-art) may carry licensing terms that
say it is legal to release them to the public in the shape of a
composite work, but not as source material.

I've no idea, I've never wanted to use GPL for stuff that are not
conventional computer programs written in a high-level conventional
programming language.
