Here’s one (also from the use cases I posted): I cannot use image data from
Ryzom in my free RPG, because I also use GPL licensed images from Battle for
Wesnoth and GPL licensed text.

That is a real killer for the far-out science fiction supplement we’re working
on right now. That would benefit a lot from beign able to use the Ryzom
critters as illustrations and Ryzom landscapes for planets. We could actually
get even with commercial products in terms of illustrations.
But the cc by-sa vs. GPL incompatibility kills that option, even though both
are copyleft and want to further free culture.

And it’s damn frustrating to have purely legal issues kill the intentions of
the creators of the creative works. The Ryzöm folks licensed under cc by-sa to
allow as many people as possible to reuse their art, as long as they share
back. A GPL compatibility clause would fit that intention and broaden their
reach. And allow us to use their great artwork.

Best wishes,
Arne
