What? Are you guys suggesting it has to be announce on air???

...omg, the death of cc-radio before it even began....there's no way
stations will agree to that, it's difficult enough to get them to play more
than 2 minutes of a song these days, without talking nonsense, selling a
high-toll competition phone line or cutting to commercials.

Even small webcasters would shy away, because it's too awkward and clunky.
They have little time enough as it is without imposing more red tape on
their blue mondays.

Only if we want to put musicians off the licenses, and radio stations off
the music released under the licenses......it's like asking the station to
announce "this track is the copyright of Sony Music 2007" everytime they
play a Sony-signed artist. I appreciate it's not quite the same, but to a
station it's equally farcical. Much as Sony would enjoy it, it'll never
happen.

My point is that surely it's not really appropriate for "radio station"
audio output? Afterall, ccMixter, Kompoz, Jamendo etc don't have an
infomercial at the beginning/end of everything you listen to or download,
"this track is licensed...."

Radio stations SHOULD have reference on their websites though, nice big
promos for artists and lots of links to cc content......please :)

My 2p :)
