Good morning everyone,

I spent a short bit of time to follow up on this and to look through what needs to be done in order to submit this. It's not terribly a lot: compared to a lot of EU programs, it's one of the lightest with only some 5-8 pages of text needing to be written to motivate the funding. I pulled together a Google doc in which I highlighted the most pressing questions from the application that needs to be answered:

https://docs.google.com/a/creativecommons.org/document/d/12gP-Fy1_bDZcVS4oh_AKrfruwGIDDv1owBZo3CkCQl0/edit

The most critical part of all of this is the list of activities to be undertaken, as this also relates directly to the budget needs for those activities. Each activity should be identified by:

  • Start date
  • End date
  • Venue
  • Target Group
  • Number of participants
  • Type of activity
  • Field/Subject
  • Members taking part
  • Objectives/results expected
  • Budget (While it doesn’t need to be indicated in *this* document, it’s also worthwhile to consider the budget for each activity, as we can lift this directly into the budget document.)
Note on the budget: we can claim costs for the travel of the network participants to partake in the activities, as well as the specific costs of the activity (venue, etc). It's difficult to cover personnel costs for people not hired by the beneficiary, and whatever costs we could potentially claim (for instance by counting the affiliates as invited consultants/experts) we might anyway need to waive in order to count this towards the 20% co-financing needed.

I'm happy to contribute to pulling together this document, but would need help to at the detail the activities that we could engage in as a network. John gave some indication of activities on the list, and I included them in the Google document above, but they need to be much more detailed.

John, Alek, Teresa, Christian, you four have so far seemed the most active in this discussion and/or offered to help. Would you care to help out by working out those activities?
