This should be a priority.

Let us know when you figure out how to do it. I doubt Steven is interested since BL is aimed at old hardware which works with older X.
(Except where it is buggy as in my Winbook, which loses keyboard and mouse when you do anything graphical, but works with 2.6 kernel and later X).

I use Xvesa or Xfbdev most of the time. You can get the latest version of these precompiled for various glibc, from the Xfree86 site (I also put a copy at my site, I think). They use less cpu and memory.

Other priorities (they all come first?):

A 2.6 kernel (small, with a set of modules), so we can use packages from Slackware past 11, including later precompiled glibc and gcc to compile other useful stuff (gtk2 for "recent" browsers).

Opera 10 (I can't get the fonts working - black squares).

Flash 9 or even 10.

Cardbus driver modules so we can use wireless cards other than Orinoco and Airo, which in addition to being faster are more common and do WPA.

A way to use BL in a computer containing an SATA drive (even if BL is on an IDE drive).

Built-in USB cardreader (confuses BL).

A pdf reader that rotates files. Framebuffer image viewer and pdf reader (use less RAM/cpu than X).
