O.K., I am going to learn firewalling. Unfortunately the script
recommended by Sindi does not seem to work:

I installed tcpip2.tgz from Slackware 4.0. Then I tried
to run the following commands on the GW machine:

> ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1

O.K.

> echo 1>/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

cannot create /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward: Directory
nonexistent

> ipchains -P forward DENY

ipchains: Invalid policy `DENY' for -P

> ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.1.1/24 -d MASQ

ipchains: host/network `MASQ' not found

Are these commands really the correct ones for BL3 with
bzimage.big 2.2.26 kernel?

Is there something missing on my system?
