The manpages in BL3 (see /usr/man) have been pre-formatted
so they do not need groff.

Man2html (42K) from Slackware requires only libc and ld-linux.

man2html page.1 > page.html then if you want plain text
use lynx or links to save it as plain text (save as formatted text in links or P to Print to a file in lynx).
