You will be jealous. Someone we gave a computer to traded us something that came with her wornout HP laserjet 1100, that plugs into a USB slot and provides a 25-pin serial port. HP Q1342-60001.

I have a somewhat newer computer that uses low-profile PCI cards.
(You cannot use a standard card, even if you can make it fit,
because they require different voltages.) The serial cards for
these boxes need the 5.05+ serial driver, which in turn
requires a 2.4+ kernel. Setserial 2.17+ is required to configure
the card/port.
