BL2 RAMDISK works on this Compaq 5010 116MHz laptop computer. 32MB RAM, 1GB or larger hard disk. SB16 sound.

No autoexec.bat or config.sys. No drivers loaded by us in DOS.

p1 kernel 2.2.26

Starts to boot them almost immediately a screen full of:

CPU#0: Machine Check Exception: 0x 107BE0 (type 0x 9)

Many copies of this line and it has to be powered off.

Win98SE works fine. Everything works except that the CD-ROM drive only reads OEM CDs.

We will set it up with the working linksys WPC11 ver 4 in Win98 for use by the father with free county wireless signal.

And use a desktop for the 9-year old with linux and Sylpheed, and hardware modem.
