What libc version are you using?

You can add glibc from Slackware 8.1 to BL3 and then try the libvga.so. 1.4.3 from Slackware 8.1.

David also provided a uclibc libvga.1.4.3 which needs three uclibc library files, that I use with his static (or uclibc?) zgv (a better viewer than seejpeg). These files should all be in the one-floppy USB boot linux that I posted at my site http://keesan.freeshell.org/bl/2.4.31/ - I forget what I called it. Try making that boot disk and see if it works on your computer to view images with zgv. zgv filename.jpg

If it works, you can copy the libm.* libc.* and ld-linux from /lib to your computer, along with the uclibc libvga which needs them.

The older libvga.so.1.3.1 (?) did not work with 2.4.31 kernel.

http://keesan.freeshell.org/blfiles.htm gives info on the files I posted.

Hi!

Yesterday I tried with seejpeg here first it says no libvga.config
file then it says it will go to default settings low monitor 32 MHz
and then it dyes with "segmentation fault"

Work better than what? The svgalib package in
Slackware 4.0?

Yes that's what I have bin trying before. But actually I don't know
exactly what I have bin trying before. Ones I have installed a big
Slackware 4 packages but one other time I have just installed some
libs to make the svga ghostscribt from SW4 work. This didn't success.

Thank you for the mini tutorial Sindi

David's libvga is probably for use with the 2.4.31 kernel that you need
for usb-storage, since the older ones won't work with it.

Now this is what Davie wrote:

Otherwise, you can try an older
kernel (2.2.16) which doesn't interact with svgalib like 2.2.26
(BL3.40 kernel) does.
