100 MB data transfer by means of null-modem cables

Serial null-modem: 100mb in 4 hours
Parallel lap-link: 100mb in 1 hour
100MB Iomega parallel port zip drive, usable in DOS with iomega 'guest' software or in linux with scsi_mod, parport, parport_pc and either ppa or imm modules, will transfer 100MB relatively quickly. I moved my laptop BL3 setup (47MB file) between laptops with it.
A USB memory stick or memory card in USB card reader (or even parallel port card reader, or CF to PCMCIA adaptor) will be faster. The first two of these require kernel 2.4.31.
For a desktop you can also temporarily plug in a second hard disk and transfer between hda and hdc.
