Do you mean the 2.2.26 kernel modules? The 2.2.26
kernel should be in /boot (for LILO).

That's progress (no undefined symbols). However, it
still in not working. It is not activating the NIC
(device or resource busy). I suggest you try 8139too
(2.2.26 version) and see if you get same error message.

Not yet. Until the NIC is activated, there is no point
doing the next step.

Until your insmod is successful (it tells you eth0
is active), nothing will work.
