How do you suggest UNupgrading from 2.3.2 to 2.3.1?

This is BL3 right? Your simplest option may be to re-install
BL2.

from scratch. However, you could do: tar -ztvf on the 2.3.2
I have a little list in /var/log/packages.

runtime package and delete every file listed. This could be
automated by using cut to remove the garbage before the filename
and feeding the output to rm.

I could start by rm *2.3.2*so* in /lib.

Then run ldconfig to relink things?

I made such a mess trying to uninstall SW81 glibc once that I had to start over from scratch, but this time I can simply copy over from another computer.

I also have the SW10.2 CD - could I just upgrade to that
glibc instead

No, the Slackware-10.2 glibc2 definitely does not work with BL3.

How about with BL2? We just found another of those printers that needs gimp-print and a driver that comes with SW10.2. I suppose I could try and then undo both upgrades at the same time.

BL3 is still using glibc 2.2.5.

Cheers,
Steven
