Actually, a correction on this. The version on my newer Debian is 0.8.5-4. Trying to access an https on another machine with 0.8.5 I get the message

*** Dillo's prototype plugin for https support is disabled now ***

If you want to test this alpha support code, just remove
line 56 from https.c, recompile and reinstall.

(beware that this https support is very limited now)

To use https and SSL, you must have
the OpenSSL development libraries installed. Check your
O/S distribution provider, or check out

So, some minor fiddling with the source is required. But I can say that I was able to log into an https site that runs an M$Exchange mail server using the Dillo version with SSL/https enabled to check my mail.

I run Dillo with Red Hat 9.0

It's incredible fast, and is smaller than 1Mby.

Excellent browser.

It would be nice to have it in BL3 instead of Links.

I downloaded the new Dillo (0.8.5) on my newer Debian system and note that
it now handles SSL. It also uses nicer fonts now. It's getting close to
being a fully capable browser for older machines, and should be made
available for BL. Maybe someone could compile it statically against
uclibc? David? If someone does, I'd be happy to host it at my add-ons
site.
