Hello all,
I have successfully compiled my own MPlayer using glibc. It plays pretty well everything that a normal MPlayer build would (ogg, mp3, XviD) with the exception that there is currently no X11 video support (and a few other things like no SDL or AAlib, etc.). I'll be working on that and will let the list know as soon as I get more working.
Things that are currently not working but I'd like to work:
X11 video support
SDL sound/video (I doubt this one)
AAlib or libcaca graphics
The current statically compiled binary size is 7.7MB, uncompressed.
Thanks,
Stephen Clement
