Finding stuff in Slackware is not that hard. Just do a
search in /slakware/MANIFEST.gz. You will find both
ipfwadm and ipchains in the tcpip2.tgz package.

Cheers,
Steven

Thank you. I didn't know about the MANIFEST file.

I have now copied the tcpip2.tgz into linux and run "pkg tcpip2.tgz" to install it. Lots of filenames flew up the screen. I then rebooted just to be sure.
I now have ipchains and ipfwadm in my sbin directory running base.i kernel from slackware 7.1. cool!

Problem:
Linux does not seem to SEE the file when I try to run it. I have checked and it is marked executable and in the current directory. See below.

/sbin<#>ls
badblocks init losetup reset
chroot insmod lsmod rmmod
dhclient ipchains mke2fs route
dhcpcd ipchains-restore mkswap setserial
e2fsck ipchains-save mount swapoff
fdisk ipfwadm ping swapon
halt ipfwadm-2.3.0 poweroff umount
httpd ipfwadm-wrapper rdev
ifconfig ldconfig reboot
/sbin<#>ipchains
-sh: ipchains: not found

I really appreciate you help. This is my second linux ever (BL1 was my first) and I have never needed to install anything previously.
