Before you put the CDrom line in /etc/fstab,
can you confirm that you are able to mount
a CDrom from the command line:
--------------------
mount /dev/hdd /mnt
dir /mnt
--------------------
Does that give you the directory of the CDrom?

Several possible reasons:
-------------------------------------------
no CDrom in drive
CDrom modules not installed (see /etc/rc)
wrong or missing parameter in mount command
-------------------------------------------
Cheers,
Steven
