loadlin.exe is happy running from CDrom. It will successfully
load the kernel (from CDrom) and put initfs.gz (from CDrom)
into a ramdisk. So far, so good. Then the initfs looks for
fs.img on the HD. There are three requirements:
(1) the HD must be IDE
(2) fs.img must be in the /baslin directory
(3) fs.img must be on a DOS-type filesystem

Would such a DOS CDrom contain fdisk and format? Would it
be possible to use it to put a bootable DOS partition on the
HD? If so, you could first create the bootable OS (DOS) and
then boot the normal DOS version of BL3.

Cheers,
Steven
