I wonder whether the version of the mount program doesn't know how to
do it?
I got a somewhat similar message when I tried under BL3.21 to
mount a linked BL2.1 computer.

I will paste here Steven's instructions from last fall, which enabled me
to network two PCs running BL2.1

Assuming you are on 192.168.1.2 and the server is running
on 192.168.1.1
