When you are at the login prompt, it will interpret "quit",
"logout" or "exit" as usernames. It is simply asking you
for the passwords for those (nonexistant) usernames. The
reason that the login routine asks for a password even for
a nonexistant username is to make it more difficult for an
illegitimate user to identify valid usernames.
Just press CTRL-ALT-DEL to shutdown the system.
