It will be difficult to run dosemu without knowledge of DOS commands.
SUBST maps a directory to a drive letter, e.g. c:\dos\graphic\np\pic
can be accessed as P:\

Try to find the documentation files coming with the freedos
package. Directory mapping can be done in the autoexec.bat that
will be run whenever you start dosemu.
