I don't know the correct way to do this but this is what I did. When you
start as user you are in /home/user. So I copied .xinitrc (located in
/root) and .opera (located in /root) to /home/user. Then I gave them full
permissions by the command
----------------------
chmod -R 777 .xinitrc
----------------------
and the same for .opera
I believe I checked to make sure that associated files were also fully
usable for user, groups and others by the above chmod command, but did not
change them until I found out, by trying each change(changing as little as
possible)before proceeding to give more permissions.
