In order for Windows to see the Linux computer, the Linux
computer must be running a server (BL2 does not have any
servers, although they can be installed from Slackware 7.1).
If you install a HTTP server, Windows will be able to see
it with a browser (Internet Explorer?). If you install a
FTP server, Windows will be able to see it an FTP client.
And so on.

If the Linux computer runs a samba server, then it can
be used on the Windows Network Neighborhood (or whatever
it is called). A samba package can be installed from
Slackware 7.1 (it is in the /slakware/n8 directory).
